Marvin completed his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology in 2000 at Dalhousie University and was also certified as a Professional Lifestyle and Fitness Consultant. Upon graduation, Marvin began working at a physiotherapy clinic where he was introduced to foot orthoses. He quickly became very interested in them as he could see how people could benefit from the devices. He always had a passion for fitness and thought that the community could use a fitness facility as the promotion of a healthy lifestyle was very important to him. He then went on to open Kin-Excel Fitness center which encompassed the new gym and physiotherapy clinic.Things then began to expand and the physiotherapy clinic required more room and therefore moved locations where Marvin proceeded to expand into the Pedorthic Clinic. The relationship with health and fitness and proper foot care is all encompassing and at Kin-Excel, Marvin is able to provide optimal service to his patients and customers. Marvin is a very avid runner and has completed the Cabot Trail Relay 24 years in a row. He is very active in the community and hosts the annual Kin-Excel Fun run as well as local baseball tournaments. Marvin coaches hockey and school running clubs and is also the Deputy Fire Chief at the St. Peter's Volunteer Fire Department.
